This position will require an understanding of developing cross-
platform software solutions, implementing compelling UIs, and
integrating with 3rd party applications.

The Product Manager is responsible for leading the product development life cycle. From market analysis to technology feasibility reporting, the Product Manager must deliver insight and guidance in defining and iterating products that meet market needs and leverage internal technologies to best advantage. The Product Manager will also play a key role in identifying the business positioning for our products in both Business to Consumer and Business to Business contexts.

Responsibilities
- Own the creation, planning and logistics of product-specific roadmaps
- Develop and manage the company’s suite of products, including web, desktop and embedded software components
- Develop competitive product positioning and long-term product roadmap
- Prioritize new products and product enhancements based upon feedback from Sales, Operations, Senior Management and market research
- Maintain an instrumental position in product concept development (wire framing, mock-ups, functional specs, etc)
- Be responsible for gathering initial business requirements and creating business requirement documentation
- Collaborate with technical development and operations team to scope new products and enhancements to existing products
- Lead competitive analysis and evaluate market opportunities based on the competitive landscape
- Proactively provide status reports to management about products in the development pipeline
- Continually test products for progress/quality and adherence to requirements
- Work closely with sales, business development and marketing to shape messaging and communication of new product initiatives to the market place
- Create business justification documentation including expected development costs and expected sales/benefit (ROI) for presentation to senior management
- Educate Sales Engineering, Sales, prospects and customers on upcoming product capabilities
- Lead efforts to develop product documentation for use in the sales process
Technical Skill Level (required)
- Thorough understanding of technologies and trends, particularly in digital media, online music and portable media players
- Must have a creative/technical background that will allow you to evaluate product issues effectively
- Able to quickly learn new technologies and techniques to apply them
Qualifications (highly desired)
- 3 - 5 years experience building consumer-facing software/internet products
